Weil-McLain Continues to Innovate with each New Product Launch

Weil-McLain, a division of The Marley-Wylain Company, is a leading North American designer and manufacturer of hydronic comfort heating systems for residential, commercial and institutional buildings since 1881. Building on a reputation of quality and innovation, the Weil-McLain brand is committed to creating Simplified Solutions for our Complex World™. The reliability and energy efficiency of Weil-McLain products has helped them make them industry leaders. Weil-McLain products are engineered with aesthetics, functionality, safety, and structural tolerance in mind.

ABOUT PRODUCT

Over the last 130 years, Weil-McLain has built a reputation for designing some of the most reliable boilers in the marketplace. Their dedication to producing lasting heating solutions is seen in every boiler they make. The CGi represents excellent durability and efficiency in a space-conscious package. Supporting both natural and induced draft venting, this is the perfect boiler for any application, regardless of chimney access. The CGi is designed in a way that does not require a vertical draft hood, keeping the low profile that makes this boiler so attractive. Whether you are replacing an older boiler or beginning new construction, the CGi is an efficient, compact heating solution.

Efficiency-Boosting Insulation

  • Heat retention is critical to energy efficiency. Heat leakage represents energy use without any comfort gains. An extended, insulated steel jacket prevents heat from escaping the CGi and improves efficiency.

Durable Construction

  • Reliability is one of the greatest ways a boiler can provide value. Weil-McLain wanted to be sure that you’ll enjoy the comfort the CGi provides for years to come. With a steel base and burners and cast-iron boiler sections, they have done just that.

FAQ

How do I choose the right size of central AC for my home?
Various factors need to be considered such as
• Specific region and climate in which you live
• Orientation of your home (for example, if it faces west)
• Size and age of your windows
• Your home’s ventilation system and ductwork
• Quality and quantity of your home’s insulation
• Age of your home
How does a new high efficiency AC will help me save energy bills?
Choose ENERGY STAR® certified ACs
ENERGY STAR certified central air conditioners have higher seasonal energy efficiency ratio (SEER) ratings and use less energy than conventional new models*. Our experts can help you choose an ENERGY STAR certified AC that’s right for your needs. Schedule a no-obligation, in-home consultation with a Home Comfort Advisor today.
How long does an installation take? What time will they arrive? Do I need to be home for the installation?
Every installation is different, and every project presents unique installation challenges, but we aim to have all installations completed in one day. Technicians will arrive at the prearranged agreed upon time and will keep you updated on the progress throughout the day. We always recommend that homeowners are present during installation, but if that’s not possible, we require someone over the age of 18 to be home during installation.
Can I buy it online and install by myself?
HVAC or Boiler installation requires electrical, gas and refrigerant knowledge as well as familiarity with local bylaws and building codes. Failure to properly install HVAC equipment can create safety concerns and performance issues as well as void manufacturer warranties. For those reasons, we always recommends professional installation.
What Are Maintenance Needs of the Air Conditioner?
Scheduling preventive maintenance is essential if you want to protect your investment in your air conditioner. Routine basic maintenance helps prevent problems from occurring and extends the life of your air conditioning unit.
Along with your air conditioning installation, ask about the preventative maintenance service of your contractor. What is included, and what is the cost?
When Can You Install My New Air Conditioner?
There’s just one more thing to do. You should consider the best time to install your new air conditioner.
If you have an existing air conditioner that is not working and summer is approaching then you may want to get this done soon. Even if you have a functioning air conditioner, the installation process will mean you will be without air conditioning for at least some time. There will also be some disruption in your home while work is completed.
Discuss your preferred installation timescale with your home comfort advisor. They will explain the process and work with you to keep disruption to a minimum.
